Maho Ueda is a gymnast of the Japanese national team who has represented Japan for over 20 years since joining in 2007. In 2020, at the age of 28, she became the Japanese National Champion in the IW (Individual Women), TR (Trio), and GR (Group) categories.
Driven by her passion for aerobic gymnastics, she continues to pursue her dreams. In 2024, she made history by competing in the Aero Dance category finals at the World Championships—the first Japanese athlete to achieve this milestone.
Maho Ueda holds a postgraduate degree in physical education from Nippon Sport Science University, where she studied coaching methodologies to contribute to the development of aerobic gymnastics. She has served as a university lecturer for ten years, instructing students while actively promoting the sport through participation in sporting events.
Additionally, she has held leadership roles such as Director of the Shinagawa Aerobic Federation and Chairperson of the Japan Aerobics Federation Athletes' Committee. Today, Maho Ueda is recognized as a key leader in Japanese aerobic gymnastics.
